Make Music Athens

Main Street Athens is excited to announce that Downtown Athens will host Make Music Athens on Sunday, June 21 from 1-5pm, a free community Arts & Music Festival celebrating the first day of summer. Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration coordinated nationally by the Make Music Alliance, and Athens is proud to join communities across the globe by turning downtown into a city wide stage. Musicians will perform in storefronts, restaurants, and outdoor spaces while local artists and makers showcase and creat art throughout the district. 

The family-friendly event offers a perfect way to gather after church and enjoy Father's Day afternoon with music, art, food, and local businesses. The event is made possible by partners METTC, The Arts Center, City of Athens, Denso, and Truist, with additional partners and sponsors welcome. 

Musicians and venues can sign up through the official Make Music Day Athens website, which matches performers with host locations. Local artists, food trucks, and volunteers are also invited to sign up to participate on www.mainstreetathens.org.
