Hiwassee River – Calhoun Boat Ramp

(TWRA) The Hiwassee River – Calhoun Boat Ramp is a free public access point to the Hiwassee River, convenient for boaters and anglers. This concrete launch, located near the confluence of the Hiwassee and Tennessee Rivers, allows small boats, canoes, and kayaks to be easily put into the water. The ramp area has a gravel parking lot and is maintained by local and state agencies to ensure safe river access. Anglers often use this ramp to fish the Hiwassee for bass, catfish, and other species, while paddlers launch here for a scenic trip downstream.
