The Englewood Textile Museum recounts the history of the many textile mills that once thrived in Englewood and the women who worked in them. Housed in Englewood’s historic “company store” downtown, the museum displays artifacts like Miss Ella’s never-worn handmade trousseau and other early 20th-century textiles and memorabilia. Visitors can also tour the restored “Little White House” (birthplace of a mill owner) on the property and admire hand-painted murals around downtown depicting the mill era. With no admission fee and educational programs year-round (including notable annual quilt shows in spring and fall), the Living Heritage Museum provides a rich look at Englewood’s industrial heritage in a personal, story-driven way.
