Prof Powers Pup Park

Prof. Powers Pup Park is the dedicated off-leash dog park area within Prof. Powers Park in Athens​. This fenced dog park allows dogs to run freely and socialize while their owners relax on benches inside the enclosure. The pup park is divided into sections for large and small dogs, ensuring a safe play environment for all breeds. Waste bag dispensers and trash cans are provided to help owners clean up after their pets, and water spigots are available to keep pups hydrated. The dog park is open from dawn to dusk and operates on the honor system – owners are responsible for their dogs’ behavior and must remain on-site (per posted rules)​. Since its opening, Prof. Powers Pup Park has become a popular spot for Athens dog owners to give their furry friends some exercise and make new friends, all at no charge.
